Need a Last-Minute Gift? Here Are 8 Amazing Craigslist Christmas Finds
You promised yourself this year would be different. But just
like that, it's less than a week to Christmas and not only do you have no
Christmas gifts, you have no ideas for Christmas gifts either. Now you're
sweating it, haphazardly shopping online in hopes of last minute deals. But the
thing is, even if you find the perfect Christmas gifts right now, they likely
wouldn't make it to your doorstep in time to matter--or, at the very least,
you'll be paying a pretty penny for the privilege. Once again the ghosts of
Christmas's past are dragging their balls and chains through your holiday
spirit, bemoaning your penchants for procrastination.
All hope is not lost, however. You could brave the mall for
last minute gift ideas, hoping inspiration will strike somewhere between your
third and fourth soft pretzel. You could take to online shopping too, hoping
some coupon code will deliver on its promise for a last minute deal and guaranteed
shipping. But resigning yourself to such fates is sure to make for a poor
Christmas shopping experience; and it's risky--there's no saying your efforts
will be rewarded with anything but a headache.
You need gifts in hand, and you need them fast.
There is another way. There's a magical online universe
where you can find virtually anything, pick it up yourself often that same day,
and negotiate the price tag to borderline shameful lows. Craigslist isn't new,
of course, but in my opinion it is grossly underutilized for Christmas shopping
purposes, especially by those who have put off the practice to this point and
are now in desperate need of ideas.
In an effort to help you through your last minute shopping
shame, I've compiled a number of barnbuster deals going down on Boston's
Craigslist page right now. This is not your ordinary holiday fare. These are
gifts for the special someone on your list who wouldn't be satisfied with just
any video game or Christmas ornament; someone who appreciates the finer things
in life. Like an autographed Drew Bledsoe figurine. Or a free boat.
