A Pretty, Sequined Christmas Tree Scene
There are lots of Christmas card ideas to make on this site.
Here’s an eye-catching Christmas tree card design that uses tissue paper, seed
beads and sequins.
It’s really cute and fun. The different blues and the
holographic sequins give the card a touch of frost to the Christmas tree scene.

How To Make This Christmas Card Idea …
Christmas Card
Ideas To MakePrint it out! Open up the Printable Christmas Card Making Kit [the
what?]and print out the blue-backed Christmas tree image.
Tear it!
Carefully tear
along the inner edges of the blue design. You’ll be left with a hand-torn blue
rectangle with the Christmas tree image in the center.
Roughly tear a
square of white tissue paper (make sure it’s larger than the image) and
scrumple it up.
Emboss it! Next we
need to create the embossed tinsel effect. With your clear embossing pen,
outline the Christmas tree image. Carefully draw four horizontal (but slightly
curving) squiggly lines on your Christmas tree, to accentuate the layers of
branches on the tree. Use the branches either side, as a guide for each line.
Do this in stages, so that you can sprinkle on the verdigris embossing powder
before the ink dries. Use the verdigris embossing powder and your heat tool to
emboss the design onto the paper as you go along.
Christmas Card
Ideas To MakeSpray glue it!
Spray glue the
scrumpled tissue paper and the back of the tree image. Stick the tissue paper
down onto the center of your card, making sure you don’t totally flatten the
crumples.
Stick the
rectangular Christmas tree image on top of it, in a central position.
PVC glue it! Next
we need to add glue for the seed beads and sequins.
Dab blobs of
glue along each of the embossed branches of the Christmas tree.
Dab quite a
few blobs of glue around each of the corners of the crumpled tissue paper,
placing a couple of blobs on the corner of the rectangular Christmas tree image
too.
christmas card
ideas to makeAdd seed beads! Stick the sequins, and the blue and gold seed
beads, to the pre-glued corners of the design. When adding your seed beads to
the Christmas tree branches, alternate between gold and blue (as shown in the
picture). Leave to dry.
And voila! Delightful and easy Christmas card ideas to make
for your friends and family!
